LATEST UPDATE

Version 3.0.0 protects field sessions, maps and printable reports

Every field webpage now guides customers to enable Location, accidentally ended sessions can be safely restarted, each session keeps its own GPS pins and tallies, and client reports print clearly at full A4 portrait size.
AVAILABLE NOW28 August 2026
v3.0.0
01

Session labels show the farm name first

Active sessions, saved-session pickers, record actions, map scope, backup messages and report audit rows now display the farm name before the session reference. Fox GPS retains the original unique session ID for syncing, records and audit history, while an incomplete session is clearly labelled Farm not entered.

02

Records and reports use one compact workflow menu

The long Field Tools strip is replaced by one grouped Records & Reports selector. A visual three-step workflow opens Review Records, Build Report and View / Print, while backup, rounds, mapping, invoicing, analytics, setup and account tools remain available without crowding the page.

03

Vermin pins and tallies stay inside their field session

The live Pro map, floating console, offline coordinate map and native snapshot now show only the selected session. Pin numbering restarts at 1 and every live tally uses only that session's GPS records and manual counts. Client Report Builder maps, evidence, GPS registers, CSV files and round-link reports retain those same session-local pin numbers, while reports and account history can still compare explicitly selected sessions.

04

Live GPS is a clear blue dot

The directional blue arrow is replaced by the same high-contrast blue location dot on Pro, Landholder, Shooter, online, coordinate-only offline and native Mapbox maps. The accuracy ring and GPS Follow behaviour remain unchanged.

05

Client reports fill readable A4 portrait pages

Maps, economic summaries, GPS registers, evidence photos, close-out details and report verification now use the full portrait printable area with larger type. Wide registers reflow into labelled record cards instead of shrinking, evidence remains limited to two photos per page, and printing waits for fonts, images, QR codes and map tiles.

06

Map markers begin at 1 and increase in capture order

The first Fox GPS position in each field session is marker 1, followed by 2, 3 and upward on live, coordinate-only offline and native Mapbox maps. Landholder and Shooter property maps retain their authorised property scope. Timestamp ties use the record ID so iPhone and iPad sync produce the same order.

07

Restart stays active after an accidental stop

A protected Restart Session action reopens the same session ID from the header, session details or floating field console while retaining its original start time, GPS distance, breadcrumbs, animal records, rounds and previous close-out in the restart audit history. Delayed native GPS points and stale phone or iPad copies can no longer write the old stop back over the restarted session.

08

Clear GPS permission setup

Pro, Landholder and Shooter webpages now detect missing Location access, show one large Enable Location action, explain iPhone Precise Location recovery after a denial and disappear as soon as a real position succeeds.

09

Add Property Map

A new owner-only map-setup card accepts validated KML boundaries and Fox GPS map-pack files before the field-mark and shooter workflows.

10

One guided upload flow

Large file controls, exact supported-format guidance, live import status, device/account sync state and an Open Field Map action keep the next step clear.

11

Existing maps and data preserved

The new section reuses the established IndexedDB, organisation-scoped property-pack API and map renderer without changing reports, subscriptions or historical records.

12

Direct microphone control

The field-console microphone tab now starts and stops automatic round counting in place, with clear off, starting and live states.

13

Simpler map controls

The redundant minus tile has been removed. The dedicated top-bar close control and protected Open Field Console launcher remain available.

14

Phone-safe session header

Start, elapsed time, GPS distance and End Session now share a bounded second row on phones and tablets, keeping every control inside the viewport.

15

Shooter approval comes first

Approve Shooter Account is now the first Landholder workspace card, ahead of mapping and field-entry tools, while retaining the same secure farm-scoped access flow.

16

Console launcher in the header

Open Field Console now sits between the Fox GPS brand and the subscription plan instead of floating over field content.

17

Field console opens first

The full-screen field console now opens automatically on every Pro app launch. After it is closed, its header launcher expands across all space between the Fox GPS brand and subscription plan.

18

KML owner colours

Every permanent KML boundary can now be assigned a named colour, making neighbouring farm owners easy to distinguish on Pro, Landholder, online and offline maps. The selection syncs with the organisation and remains available on the device.

19

Airplane-mode GPS capture

Cold offline starts now load the cached field shell and device records without waiting for network configuration. GPS Lock / Follow stays active through temporary satellite delays, downloaded Mapbox packs reopen within their stored zoom range, and a fresh fox target remains queued until it is saved on the device.

20

KML paddock names on the map

Each KML Placemark name now appears over its paddock or boundary, with the uploaded filename used only when the KML contains no name. Labels remain available on coordinate-only and native offline maps.

21

Selectable names for every field role

Pro, Landholder and authorised Shooter Layers panels now include a persistent KML / paddock names switch. Shooter overlays are restricted to the shared organisation and farm access.

RELEASE HISTORY

Every major field improvement.

Open a release to see its practical changes. The newest previous release is shown first.
24 August 20262.9.15Version 2.9.15 keeps the Landholder workspace inside every screenVersion 2.9.15 · Landholder phone fitment repairOPEN

Landholder cards, forms and economic details now shrink to the available phone width, with wide tables contained inside their own scroll area.

Version 2.9.15LandholderResponsive layoutiPhoneAccessibility
No more right-edge clipping

The shared Landholder workspace column can now shrink below the width of large tables, keeping farm setup, field-entry actions and property cards within the device viewport.

Contained economic tables

Wide economic detail remains available through its existing internal table scroller without widening the surrounding page.

Safe narrow-screen controls

Owner forms, shooter access steps and the fixed Open Field Map control now respect narrow screens and iPhone safe-area insets.

24 August 20262.9.14Version 2.9.14 makes Landholder field controls easier to useVersion 2.9.14 · Clearer Landholder workflowOPEN

Landholder field-map controls are larger and more readable, while farm selection and shooter access now follow one guided three-step flow.

Version 2.9.14LandholderAccessibilityShooter accessiPhone
Larger field controls

Map, layer, location and field-entry controls now use larger labels and touch targets across phones, tablets, desktop and short landscape screens.

Choose farm, enter email, send

The Landholder shooter card now keeps the owned-farm selector and email field together, then clearly reviews the destination before access is sent.

Automatic account handling

Existing Fox GPS users receive immediate property-scoped access; new users receive a secure invitation and one-time 14-day Basic trial without the landholder having to choose the account type.

24 August 20262.9.13Version 2.9.13 simplifies the Pro field launcher and protects offline-map handoffVersion 2.9.13 · Console and companion launch fixOPEN

Fox GPS Pro now keeps only the protected Open Field Console launcher when closed, while Safari no longer receives an unsupported app address during offline-map setup.

Version 2.9.13Fox GPS ProOffline mapsiPhoneApp Companion
One protected console launcher

The redundant draggable collapsed console has been removed. Closing the full-screen console now returns to the fixed Open Field Console button.

Safe offline-map launch

State and farm downloads are dispatched only through the verified Fox GPS iOS bridge. Safari and Home Screen web apps now show the current TestFlight guidance instead of opening an invalid custom address.

Readiness remains evidence-based

Offline Ready is still withheld until the native Mapbox style pack and every selected tile region are complete on the device.

24 August 20262.9.12Version 2.9.12 gives Shooter the protected Landholder map-first field viewVersion 2.9.12 · Shooter field-map fitOPEN

The Shooter portal now uses the same protected restore control, compact map-first header, field controls and bottom action sheet as Landholder, with bounded sizing for narrow phones and rotated screens.

Version 2.9.12ShooterLandholder parityResponsive fitiPhone + iPad
Landholder-style Shooter map

Shooter Field Mode now presents property identity, live status metrics, map controls, layers and compact target actions in the same full-screen hierarchy as Landholder.

Protected restore button

Collapsing the Shooter map leaves an independent Open Field Map control outside the hidden widget, so it cannot disappear with the console.

Phone, tablet and desktop fit

Responsive width guards remove the known full-screen, fixed-grid and narrow-header expansion paths across portrait, landscape, tablet and desktop web layouts.

24 August 20262.9.11Version 2.9.11 keeps every collapsed field console recoverableVersion 2.9.11 · Protected console restoreOPEN

Fox GPS Pro and Landholder now keep a dedicated, safe-area restore button outside the floating field widget, so a collapsed or displaced console can always be reopened and reset on iPhone or iPad.

Version 2.9.11Fox GPS ProLandholderiPhone + iPadAccessibility
Dedicated restore control

Open Field Console and Open Field Map buttons stay anchored outside the movable widget and use full keyboard and touch targets.

Automatic position recovery

Restoring the Pro console clears its saved offset, while rotation, browser chrome, keyboard and page-resume changes recheck the visible iOS viewport.

Protected maps and reports

Offline Map controls remain clear of the full console, and the new recovery controls are excluded from printed and PDF report output.

23 August 20262.9.10Version 2.9.10 prepares secure offline-map downloads for Pro and LandholderVersion 2.9.10 · Offline Map handoffOPEN

Fox GPS Pro and Landholder can securely pass a selected property or KML boundary to the current iPhone or iPad app, track the real Mapbox download and withhold Offline Ready until both required resources are complete.

Version 2.9.10Fox GPS ProLandholderMapbox OfflineiPhone + iPad
One clear download action

The web form now shows Download in Fox GPS App after the boundary, buffer, detail and storage settings, then reports Opening, Connected, Preparing, progress, Ready or Retry without silently starting from a checkbox.

Secure native handoff

Only an active Pro-family or Landholder account and the current companion protocol can claim the opaque request; private account and boundary data are never placed in the app URL.

Honest offline readiness

Offline Ready remains unavailable until the native Mapbox style pack and tile region both complete and reconcile with device storage.

22 August 20262.9.9Version 2.9.9 adds versioned Australian economic guide assumptionsVersion 2.9.9 · Australian Economic GuideOPEN

Property owners can start with the Australian Guide – August 2026, replace individual values with farm-specific assumptions, and lock the exact guide version, sources, overrides and final calculation inputs into each report.

Version 2.9.9Australian Economic GuideFarm overridesABARESHistorical snapshots
Australian Guide – August 2026

Editable livestock, crop, state-aware yield, feed and grazing-equivalent guide values are clearly marked as indicative Australian Guide Values rather than guaranteed savings.

Guide, override and farm-specific modes

Each property can use the guide, combine it with selected farm overrides, or rely only on farm-specific values without future guide updates overwriting those choices.

Immutable report evidence

PDF, CSV, native and verified report data snapshot the guide version, source date, basis, property overrides, calculation methods and final assumptions while public verification keeps confidential unit prices private.

21 August 20262.9.8Version 2.9.8 adds property-specific Economic Impact reportingVersion 2.9.8 · Economic Impact reportsOPEN

Fox GPS Pro and Landholder reports can now estimate livestock, crop, pasture, infrastructure and locally supported environmental exposure using editable property values, with the exact assumptions locked to each verified report.

Version 2.9.8Economic ImpactProperty assumptionsPDF reportsHistorical snapshots
Property-specific values only

Landholders enter their own livestock, crop, feed, grazing and repair values. Defaults remain zero and Fox GPS does not assign an unsupported national dollar value per animal.

All supported animal types

Fox, Wild Dog, Cat, Kangaroo, Goat, Camel, Pig, Donkey and Other use transparent livestock, crop, grazing, infrastructure or custom formulas with editable basis and confidence notes.

Locked historical reporting

Client PDFs, Landholder property summaries, previews, CSV exports and verified report records retain the exact economic assumptions and calculated totals used when each report was generated.

20 August 20262.9.7Version 2.9.7 adds Layers to the Fox GPS Pro field mapVersion 2.9.7 · Fox GPS Pro map LayersOPEN

The main Fox GPS Pro floating field map now uses the same compact Layers control as Landholder, with persistent visibility choices for boundaries, paddocks, field points, animal markers, breadcrumbs and existing overlays.

Version 2.9.7Fox GPS ProMap LayersPersistent visibilityiPhone + iPad
Consistent compact Layers control

An orange-accent Layers button now sits with the Pro map controls and opens the same high-contrast checkbox pattern used in Landholder Field Mode.

Field-layer visibility choices

Operators can show or hide property and KML boundaries, paddocks, supported sighting or POI points, vermin markers, breadcrumbs, round links and other existing overlays, with offline-map status shown in the same panel.

Stable map interaction

Layer changes retain marker selection, open evidence cards, map zoom and GPS Follow state, and device-local visibility preferences remain stable through sync and GPS refreshes.

20 August 20262.9.6Version 2.9.6 introduces map-first Landholder field markingVersion 2.9.6 · Map-first Landholder field modeOPEN

Landholder Field Mode now keeps the property map dominant while providing compact, touch-friendly Mark Here, Drop Pin and Form actions for iPhone, iPad and PWA field use.

Version 2.9.6Landholder Field ModeMap-first markingKML boundariesiPhone + iPad
Map-first field workspace

The satellite or hybrid map, property boundary, existing marks, live GPS position, heading and scale remain visible around a compact field header and bottom action sheet.

Compact marking actions

Mark Here uses the current GPS location, Drop Pin enables map placement and Form opens manual entry, all flowing into the same compact details sheet with the map retained behind it.

Existing behaviour preserved

The redesign reuses the current property, KML, marking, offline and synchronisation paths without changing backend data, permissions, user relationships, routes or authentication.

20 August 20262.9.5Version 2.9.5 makes field sync efficient and expands animal typesVersion 2.9.5 · Event-driven sync and animal typesOPEN

Fox GPS now uses a 20-second active refresh with immediate syncing for important field events, while capture forms support Goat, Camel, Pig, Donkey and validated custom animal types without changing existing records.

Version 2.9.520-second syncImmediate field eventsOffline queueAnimal types
Lower-overhead automatic sync

Normal Pro and Landholder account refreshes run every 20 seconds, while record saves, session end, reconnect, foreground return and Manual Sync continue immediately.

Durable offline and multi-device behaviour

Pending records remain queued until confirmed by the server, stable client IDs prevent duplicates, newer edits retain priority and an open vermin marker remains selected during refresh.

Expanded animal selection

Fox, Wild Dog, Cat and Kangaroo remain unchanged, with Goat, Camel, Pig, Donkey and an Other animal type now available across capture and Landholder entry flows.

20 August 20262.9.4Version 2.9.4 keeps vermin marker evidence openVersion 2.9.4 · Stable vermin marker cardsOPEN

Selected vermin GPS marker cards now remain open through GPS updates, map movement and sync refreshes until the operator deliberately closes or changes the selection.

Version 2.9.4Vermin GPS markersPersistent selectionManual synciPhone + iPad
Persistent selected marker

The selected vermin record and its information window are retained independently from live GPS, weather, offline-state and map-layer rendering updates.

Refresh in place after sync

When sync returns an updated copy of the selected vermin event, its species, recorded time, coordinates, historical weather, notes and photo refresh inside the already-open card.

Deliberate dismissal only

The card closes only from its close control, a different map selection or an intentional map-background tap; ordinary pan and zoom gestures leave it open.

20 August 20262.9.3Version 2.9.3 brings complimentary Pro codes to sign-inVersion 2.9.3 · Secure Pro-code sign-inOPEN

Recipients can now enter a complimentary Pro code from the Fox GPS sign-in page, authenticate normally and have the existing entitlement activated against the correct account.

Version 2.9.3Complimentary ProSecure sign-inAccount entitlementiPhone + iPad
Promo-code entry before sign-in

A clear secondary option expands to a touch-friendly Pro-code field on the public sign-in card. The code is held only for the current browser session and is never placed in the sign-in URL.

Authentication before activation

Fox GPS waits for successful ChatGPT authentication, then sends the code through the existing one-time complimentary entitlement action so its email and eligibility rules attach access to the signed-in account.

Clear outcome and expiry

Successful recipients enter Fox GPS Pro with a confirmation, while invalid, expired, used or ineligible codes leave the current subscription unchanged. Complimentary expiry is shown in Plans & Account.

20 August 20262.9.2Version 2.9.2 expands vermin GPS marker evidenceVersion 2.9.2 · Historical marker detailOPEN

Selecting a vermin GPS marker now opens a clear evidence card with the saved species, event time, coordinates, historical weather, notes and an expandable photo when one was recorded.

Version 2.9.2Vermin GPS markersHistorical weatherEvidence photosMap detail
Complete marker record card

Vermin pins now present the recorded species, date and time, GPS coordinates, accuracy and notes in a compact touch-friendly map card.

Event weather, never live weather

The marker card reads only the historical weather snapshot stored with that vermin event, including its observation time, temperature, wind and available humidity or rain chance. It never substitutes current conditions.

Tap-to-expand photographic evidence

When the record contains an evidence photo, the marker card shows a clear thumbnail that opens the existing full-size photo viewer. Records without a photo show no empty image placeholder.

20 August 20262.9.0Version 2.9.0 hardens entitlements and offline property marksVersion 2.9.0 · Deterministic syncOPEN

Stripe entitlements are now event-idempotent and price-exact, while dedicated POI, sighting and target forms keep working offline and sync safely across authenticated devices.

Version 2.9.0Stripe entitlementsOffline marksConflict protectionManual Sync
Exact, retry-safe subscriptions

Every Stripe event is claimed once, duplicate price bindings are rejected and older subscription events cannot replace a newer entitlement. Paid Landholder and Fox GPS plans still open their matching portal immediately.

Dedicated offline property entry

Add POI, Add Sighting and Add Target now open the GPS data-entry workflow. Offline marks are stored in an account-scoped IndexedDB queue and replayed idempotently when reception returns.

Visible cross-device conflict protection

Server timestamps protect newer field records and session details from an older device, while round events and GPS breadcrumbs continue to merge. A Manual Sync control reports queued and conflicted data instead of silently overwriting it.

Owner and account notifications

The master owner receives a permanent in-app notification for each new account and confirmed Stripe subscription, and Landholder field mode emits only one in-app alert for each offline outage.

17 August 20262.8.2Version 2.8.2 adds locked-screen field sessionsVersion 2.8.2 · Native background GPSOPEN

The iOS companion now keeps a started field session's filtered GPS distance and breadcrumbs recording through screen lock, stores them natively when the web view is suspended and safely returns them to the editable session when Fox GPS reopens.

Version 2.8.2Screen-lock GPSNative recoveryOfflineiPhone + iPad
Explicit background field session

Starting a session starts native high-accuracy GPS on the Primary Tracker and keeps that tracker reserved while the screen is locked. A persistent iOS status bar shows LIVE or PAUSED, distance and filtered point count, with direct Pause and Resume control; another device can still take over explicitly.

Device-first locked-screen recovery

Accepted native points are written to protected app storage before being handed to the web workspace. The app acknowledges and clears them only after the matching session has been saved, preventing duplicate distance or lost offline points.

Clear operating limits

The app displays the extra battery-use warning and system background-location indicator. Screen lock is supported; force-quitting ends iOS background execution, and microphone round detection remains foreground-only.

17 August 20262.8.1Version 2.8.1 adds selected and Select All offline downloadsVersion 2.8.1 · Batch offline-area selectionOPEN

Farm/KML boundaries and Australian state overviews can now be selected with checkboxes, including Select All, before starting multiple Mapbox downloads together.

Version 2.8.1Select AllBatch downloadOffline mapsMapbox
Visible selection checkboxes

Every available farm/KML polygon and every Australian state or territory now has its own download checkbox with a live selected count.

Select All for fast setup

Select All can prepare every boundary in the current farm/profile list or all eight state and territory overview areas without repeating the setup screen.

Independent download control retained

Each selected area remains a separate native Mapbox pack with its own progress, Open, Update, Retry, Cancel and Delete controls on that phone or iPad.

17 August 20262.8.0Version 2.8.0 adds native Mapbox offline mapsVersion 2.8.0 · Farm detail & state overview packsOPEN

The iPhone and iPad companion can now download Mapbox satellite coverage by farm/KML boundary or as a lower-detail Australian state overview, then operate the full-screen field map without reception.

Version 2.8.0MapboxOffline satelliteState packsiPhone + iPad
Boundary-based satellite downloads

Choose a permanent KML or saved farm polygon, add an optional buffer and select Standard, Detailed or Maximum quality. The native app downloads the matching Mapbox style pack and tile region for offline use.

Australian state overview packs

Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia, Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania and the ACT are available as practical zoom 3–8 overview downloads; detailed farm packs remain the paddock-level option.

Full-screen native field controls

The Mapbox screen retains clearly labelled GPS Lock / Follow and GPS Vermin Target controls. A target returns directly to the existing animal-details popup and reporting workflow.

Visible storage and lifecycle controls

Each device shows download progress and storage used, with Open, Update, Retry, Cancel and Delete actions. Records and boundaries sync across devices while satellite imagery remains a deliberate per-device download.

17 August 20262.7.2Version 2.7.2 opens the floating field widget full screenVersion 2.7.2 · Edge-to-edge field consoleOPEN

Expanding the floating field widget now creates a true edge-to-edge field console on iPhone, iPad and desktop while preserving the compact movable widget when collapsed.

Version 2.7.2Full screeniPhoneiPadField map
True full-screen opening

The opened field console now fills the complete viewport with no outer page bezel, inset or rounded edge, giving the live map the largest available working area.

Safe-area field controls

Phone and iPad controls retain safe spacing around the camera cutout, Home indicator and screen edges while the console itself remains full screen.

Compact mode retained

Collapse returns to the movable floating widget, so operators can quickly switch between the full map workspace and the underlying web forms.

17 August 20262.7.1Version 2.7.1 makes phone and iPad sync visible and controllableVersion 2.7.1 · Home Screen sync & permanent notificationsOPEN

Phone and iPad Home Screen copies now join the same active cloud session more reliably, sync again whenever the app resumes, and provide permanent top-of-screen controls for manual sync and account notifications.

Version 2.7.1Phone + iPadManual syncHome ScreenNotifications
Reliable Home Screen device adoption

A newly installed phone or iPad copy signed into the same profile now adopts the latest active cloud session instead of remaining on a blank local session. Open devices check each other about every five seconds and immediately after the app resumes.

Top-of-screen SYNC NOW

The permanent sync control uploads pending device changes first, then downloads current sessions, animal records and map layers, refreshes the notification inbox and reports the completed check time.

Permanent notification box

Notifications are always visible from the sticky app header with a live unread count and latest-alert preview. The full shared inbox, read status and optional installed-app alerts remain available from the same box.

Clear offline behaviour

Each device continues saving independently without reception. The top status changes to Offline device copy active and automatic push-then-pull resumes when the phone or iPad reconnects or reopens.

17 August 20262.7.0Version 2.7.0 adds optional map-first field modesVersion 2.7.0 · Landholder & shooter field mapsOPEN

Landholders and shooters can now open a Detector-style floating field map on iPhone or iPad for rapid marking, live target work and pop-up data entry while the full web workspace remains available for detailed editing and reporting.

Version 2.7.0iOS field modeQuick markingShooter targetsWeb reporting
Fast landholder map marking

A landholder can mark the current GPS position or tap an exact map point, then use a compact pop-up to record mark type, animal, count, priority, time, notes and evidence photo.

Shooter map-first target workflow

The shooter field console adds live iPhone or iPad GPS follow, numbered landholder targets, direct navigation and a pop-up for comments, completion photos and status updates.

One record from field to report

Field-mode updates use the existing secure property target records, so the same information remains available in the full browser workspace for later verification, editing and report writing.

Role-specific installed app entry

Landholder and Shooter Home Screen installations can open directly into their field map, while browser visits retain the complete web dashboard. Last-synced property and target information is retained on the device for offline viewing.

17 August 20262.6.0Version 2.6.0 keeps every field device and map layer togetherVersion 2.6.0 · Live sync, permanent KML & field controlsOPEN

Phone and iPad sessions now refresh across devices, KML boundaries live permanently on every farm map with their own opacity controls, photos expand and share, and round events can collapse, select and delete in bulk.

Version 2.6.0Live device syncPermanent KMLPhoto sharingBulk rounds
Phone and iPad live sync

Signed-in devices push field changes immediately and check for remote changes about every eight seconds. One Primary Tracker owns microphone and distance sensing, while every device can add animal records, manual rounds and evidence photos.

Permanent KML layers with opacity

KML uploads are no longer tied to one farm. They are stored as global account layers, rendered from the device copy online or offline, synced across devices and given a per-layer boundary-opacity slider.

Expandable, shareable evidence

Evidence thumbnails open in a full-screen photo viewer with previous/next navigation, GPS metadata and native file sharing after a clear location-data warning.

Collapsible and bulk-editable rounds

The rounds counter collapses without stopping a live microphone. Operators can select individual events or Select all, then delete the group while linked animal records receive an audit update and cross-device tombstones prevent deleted rounds returning.

17 August 20262.5.1Version 2.5.1 adds KML paddock layers and Kangaroo GPS captureVersion 2.5.1 · KML boundaries & Kangaroo captureOPEN

Fox GPS can now import KML paddock boundaries into offline property packs and record Kangaroo positions through the same GPS, evidence, mapping and reporting workflow as foxes, wild dogs and cats.

Version 2.5.1KMLPaddock boundariesKangaroo capture
KML paddock-boundary uploads

Upload a KML file from Property & Safety Packs. Polygon and LineString placemarks become named property-boundary layers, save to the device for offline use and share with the organisation when online.

Large field boundaries supported

Each imported boundary can retain up to 5,000 coordinates, with clear file, layer and total-size checks to prevent damaged or oversized KML data from affecting the field map.

Kangaroo GPS capture

Kangaroo is now available in session start, Capture Position, map pins, species filters, evidence photos, GPS links, CSV and PDF reports, Device Log and operational analytics, including the appropriate Joey age class.

17 August 20262.5.0Version 2.5.0 keeps the field map useful without receptionVersion 2.5.0 · Offline map & live GPS followOPEN

Fox GPS now retains an operational field map from device-saved property overlays, breadcrumbs and marks, follows the live onboard GPS online or offline, and raises one alert for each connection-loss event.

Version 2.5.0Offline mapGPS followField reliability
Usable offline field map

When reception drops, the map switches to a device-rendered field view containing saved property boundaries, no-go zones, access roads, landmarks, breadcrumb trails, animal marks and round positions, with local zoom, scale and Fit all controls.

Continuous GPS follow

The field-map GPS control now starts a high-accuracy live position watch. While active, the map follows the operator in real time; dragging the online map or choosing Fit all deliberately releases follow mode.

One offline alert

Fox GPS alerts the operator once when a connection-loss episode begins, keeps saving locally, and resets the alert only after reception has returned.

Google imagery handled lawfully

Google satellite tiles are not copied or redistributed. Satellite imagery resumes online while the app-owned field layers and onboard GPS remain usable offline.

17 August 20262.4.1Version 2.4.1 opens the exact account purchased at checkoutVersion 2.4.1 · Verified subscription hand-offOPEN

Paid Stripe checkouts now verify the purchased price, activate that exact Fox GPS level and open its account, while existing-shooter access clearly identifies the landholder, property and notification path.

Version 2.4.1StripeSubscriptionsLandholder access
Paid account opens automatically

After Stripe Checkout, Fox GPS securely retrieves the Checkout Session, verifies the signed-in email and paid recurring price, records the Stripe customer and subscription IDs, then opens Landholder or the field app without making the customer choose the plan again.

Checkout events activate subscriptions

The webhook now processes completed subscription checkout events as well as subscription lifecycle events, closing the gap between a successful payment and account entitlement.

Existing shooter access is unmistakable

Landholders receive a clear access-active receipt with share and email actions; the authorised user receives an in-app notification and sees the sharing organisation and property on the Shooter Target Board.

14 August 20262.4.0Version 2.4.0 adds field intelligence and property safety packsVersion 2.4.0 · Field intelligenceOPEN

Fox GPS now combines expanded pre-start checks, organisation-shared property safety overlays, offline packs, target workflows, operational analytics and account notifications.

Version 2.4.0Safety mappingAnalyticsNotifications
Pre-start readiness and verified close-out

Session start now reviews GPS, device storage, battery, permissions, map configuration, backup state and app version; close-out also flags missing evidence, GPS quality, distance and engagement links before an operator override.

Property and safety packs

Teams can map property boundaries, no-go zones, dwellings, roads, stock and water points, display them on field maps, retain the app-owned coordinates offline and export or restore a property pack without caching Google imagery.

Landholder-to-shooter workflow

Shared targets now progress through New, Acknowledged, Planned, Investigated and Resolved states with shooter comments, assignment history and optional completion photos returned to the landholder.

Operational analytics and alerts

Pro users can review kilometres, hours, rounds, outcomes, hotspots, weather and time patterns, while the notification centre records targets, invitations, orders, backup warnings and app updates with optional installed-device alerts.

iPad field usability audit

Critical field actions now retain 44-pixel touch targets, stronger status contrast and explicit confirmation for destructive or override actions across day and red night modes.

Property-owned target maps

Secure shooter invitations

Email-bound seven-day links grant a shooter access to one named property only. The landholder can remove access at any time without consuming a paid team seat.

Add existing Fox GPS users

A landholder can enter an existing user's exact Fox GPS sign-in email to grant immediate access to one property. The user's field app displays the newly shared target workspace automatically.

Invited shooters receive a hybrid map, ranked GPS targets, navigation links, install guidance and controlled Accepted, Resolved or Unable-to-action updates returned to the landholder.

Patched production framework

The application framework has been upgraded from 16.2.6 to 16.3.0, closing the security advisories reported against the previous release.

Patched processing chain

The upgrade also replaces the affected PostCSS, Nano ID and Sharp packages with patched versions through the supported framework dependency chain.

Repeatable production audit

A dedicated production-dependency audit command is now included so future release checks can identify high-severity advisories before publishing.

Field workflows preserved

The upgrade changes application infrastructure only; GPS capture, offline storage, reports, invoices, accounts and field-widget behaviour remain unchanged.

Clearer invoice sections

Invoice details and client billing fields have distinct headings, reduced spacing and a cleaner visual order.

Expandable business details

ABN, contact, payment instructions and notes are grouped into an expandable section so totals and day-to-day invoice lines stay easy to scan.

The live sound meter now displays the active trigger line, making it easier to compare background noise with the configured detection point.

New sessions start at Very Loud with 40% sensitivity, while older Low, Medium and High settings are converted automatically.

Save & Add Another also returns to the expanded widget and retains map-pin mode when the previous animal was placed from the map.

Record editing remains separate

Saving changes to an existing historical record closes the editor without forcing the field widget open.

11 August 20262.0.5Version 2.0.5 repairs Home Screen session entryVersion 2.0.5 · Installed iPad keyboard repairOPEN

The Start Session popup now uses a standalone-safe body layer and direct native form controls so Property, Area and Operator accept typing from an iPad Home Screen installation.

Version 2.0.5Home Screen appStart SessioniPad keyboard
Standalone-safe popup layer

The widget opens Start Session directly above the whole app instead of relying on Safari's dialog implementation inside the live field page.

Native uncontrolled text fields

Property, Area/Paddock and Operator are now owned by the iPad keyboard until Start Session is submitted, preventing live timer renders from resetting typed text.

Form values read only on submit

The app reads the completed native form in one step when Start Session is pressed, while preserving all required-field checks and existing session behaviour.

Installed-app shell refreshed

A new offline shell version ensures the corrected Home Screen interface replaces the previous cached form on the next online reopen.

11 August 20262.0.4Version 2.0.4 repairs Start Session entry from the widgetVersion 2.0.4 · Widget session-dialog repairOPEN

Native top-layer session dialog

The Start Session popup now uses the browser's native modal layer, keeping its fields completely separate from Google Maps and the floating console.

Native text input events

Property, Area/Paddock and Operator update from Safari's direct input event so each typed character remains visible in the controlled form.

Custom focus interception removed

The previous pointer-down focus helper has been removed so a normal iPad tap opens the on-screen keyboard through Safari's standard field behaviour.

Keyboard-friendly field controls

Session fields use 16-pixel text, native next/done keyboard actions and explicit names for reliable iPad form entry.

11 August 20262.0.3Version 2.0.3 removes the iPad keyboard blockerVersion 2.0.3 · Direct text-entry repairOPEN

The floating map console is now removed from the touch layer whenever a form is open, editable fields receive direct Safari focus and safe installed-app updates activate automatically.

Version 2.0.3iPad keyboardTouch focusAutomatic update
No map layer behind forms

The floating console is completely unmounted while session, animal-detail or close-out dialogs are open, preventing Safari from routing taps to the hybrid map layer.

Direct editable-field focus

A touch on an editable input, text area or menu now focuses that exact control through the original user gesture without cancelling the keyboard event.

Console starts collapsed

The field page opens unobstructed for data entry. Operators can still expand the full-screen console from its clearly outlined floating control.

Safe updates install automatically

When no session or pending backup blocks a reload, a waiting Home Screen update activates automatically instead of leaving the repaired interface behind an Update now step.

11 August 20262.0.2Version 2.0.2 restores reliable iPad field entryVersion 2.0.2 · iPad text-entry repairOPEN

Every field text box can receive touch and keyboard input again, while form dialogs now take exclusive control above the floating field console.

Version 2.0.2iPadText entryCompass
Text fields accept touch input

Editable fields use iPad-safe text sizing and touch handling so Safari can focus the field and open the keyboard without unwanted page zoom.

Dialogs stay above the field console

Starting a session or opening animal details collapses the console and makes its background layer inert until the form closes.

Compass permission is explicit

Motion and Orientation permission is requested only from the Enable Compass button, never from a tap intended for a text box.

Installed-app cache refreshed

The Home Screen app receives a new offline shell so all users can install the repaired interface through Update now or a clean reopen.

Basic and Pro monthly and annual prices are checked for account ownership, live mode, active status, recurring type and the correct month or year interval.

Precise repair guidance

A failed check now names the exact missing or invalid setting instead of showing a general configuration warning.

Protected by design

Only organisation Owners can run the diagnostic, and API keys, webhook secrets, account details and price values never leave the server or enter the support report.

Accurate System Health result

The account and billing check can correctly recognise securely stored Stripe secrets after a production configuration update.

No secret exposure

Protected Stripe values remain server-side and are never returned to the browser or included in diagnostic reports.
